These Terms and Conditions apply to all diagnostic, repair, modification, and related services provided by Norgan Technology.
By submitting a device for service or requesting repair work, you agree to these Terms.
1. Scope of Services
Norgan Technology provides electronics services including but not limited to:
- Diagnostics and fault finding
- Component-level repair
- Refurbishment and restoration
- Replacement of faulty parts
- Functional testing and verification
Due to the complexity and condition of many electronic devices, successful repair cannot be guaranteed.
2. Diagnostic Process
Electronic devices often contain hidden faults, degraded components, or prior repair damage that may not be visible until testing or disassembly occurs.
During diagnostic or repair work:
- Additional faults may become apparent
- Components may fail during testing
- Latent damage may be revealed
By requesting service, the customer acknowledges that diagnostic and repair procedures may expose or trigger existing faults within the device.
Norgan Technology will take reasonable care during all work but cannot guarantee that further faults will not occur as a result of underlying device condition.
3. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under Australian law, Norgan Technology is not liable for:
- Pre-existing faults discovered during repair
- Failure of aged or degraded components
- Additional faults arising from underlying device condition
- Data loss
- Loss of use or consequential damages
Where liability applies, it is limited to:
The cost of the repair service or replacement parts supplied.
Norgan Technology will not be liable for the replacement cost of the entire device unless explicitly agreed in writing.
4. Parts and Materials
Replacement parts may include:
- New components
- Reclaimed or refurbished components
- Equivalent functional components
Parts are charged separately from labour unless otherwise stated.
Customers may be responsible for the cost of parts ordered or installed even if the overall repair cannot be completed due to additional faults discovered during the process.
5. Free Repair Offer (Limited Promotion)
Norgan Technology may offer free labour repairs for a limited promotional period.
This offer:
- Applies to labour only
- Does not include parts or consumables
- May be withdrawn at any time
- Is subject to repair feasibility and technician discretion
Devices that require replacement parts will incur parts costs only.
Norgan Technology reserves the right to decline repairs where:
- The device is unsafe to repair
- Parts are unavailable
- The device is beyond reasonable repair
6. Data Responsibility
Customers are responsible for backing up all data prior to repair.
Norgan Technology is not responsible for data loss occurring during:
- Diagnostic procedures
- Firmware updates
- Component replacement
- Power testing
7. Uncollected Items
Devices not collected within 90 days of notification may be considered abandoned.
Abandoned items may be disposed of, recycled, or used for parts.
8. Repair Warranty
Where a repair warranty is provided, it applies only to the specific fault repaired.
The warranty does not cover:
- Unrelated faults
- Physical damage
- Liquid damage
- Power surges or misuse
9. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights provided under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
Statutory guarantees will apply where required by law.
10. Acceptance of Terms
Submitting a device for repair, requesting service, or delivering a device to Norgan Technology constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
